In Portugal, summer is lived at the table — and in the streets, among grilled sardines, caldo verde, sugar-coated fritters, pork sandwiches, and basil plants.
From north to south, traditional festivals take over towns and cities, filled with simple flavours, rich in tradition and joy.
In this workshop, we’ll celebrate these festivals as if we were right in the heart of the street party. Guided by a Chef who knows his way around the kitchen like no other. Gil Vargas has worked in renowned restaurants such as the Michelin-starred Tavares by José Avillez and Espaço Caiado. He also left his mark at the iconic and unforgettable Mexican spot in Príncipe Real, El Clandestino.
A perfect experience for anyone visiting Portugal who wants to take a little piece of our culture with them — both in memory and on their palate 🥣
